timing

Time is a gift that divides events on Earth so we can experience them separately. If everything happened all at once we would be flooded with information!

Location also separates one place from another. Therefore time and location have energies that are unique, changeable and complimentary.

We know through experience that everything is changeable and we are part of what is changeable.

Most of us would agree that the energy of a crowded stadium, especially at a time when a goal is scored, is very different to the energy of the same empty stadium.

Just as the energy of 4.00am is different to that of 10.00am. please take time to notice the early morning energy of daybreak when you can.

4,000 year old wisdom

Many people divide the day into work time, me time, and sleep time, with work time generally allotted the most number of hours.

According to this symbolic timepiece, Ayurveda sections the day into 3 parts. The day starts at sunrise, with cool, heavy, earthy energy from 6am to 10am. The middle of the day, from 10am to 2pm sees the hot, sharp, and fiery “king of digestion” energy. And the light, dry, airy energy rules the afternoon, from 2pm until 6pm. The same cycles happen again at night.” — diagram from The Ayurveda practice

This knowledge explains why, when we wake and get out of bed before 6am it seems easier than it is after 8am, when the heavy earthy energy is prominent.

The reasons for this are clearly based on the energy of the time; energy changes throughout the day and if this interests you, can explore more about Ayurvedic principles here, and should the third party link break, search The Ayurvedic Clock.

The more the merrier!

Ancient wisdom schools such as the Veda’s, the Torah and the Bible, to mention only three, also allude to the idea that when two or more people come together in the same place with the same intent, miracles can happen.

When the time and place is complementary, it truly feels magical… and it is!

Why? Because when the two energies of time and place work together they add their weight to the work done ‘there and then’.

Two doubles up the energy of one, just as four quadruples it, etc. The strongest energy wins, so the more the merrier.

pick your time and place

Here are some things to consider when you are about to draw out your Mandala, do it …

When you won’t be disturbed for about an hour

Where you feel comfortable, relaxed and safe

When you’re in a good mood

Where the energy is uplifting

When you have leisure time

Where you can focus on the feelings and emotions of success you were able to find in part 2 - imagining that the goal is already achieved

When it’s convenient

Remember though, you don’t need to wait for the perfect time and place; a Mandala done here and now is better than one not done at all!

only one at a time

Speaking to the question of how many Mandalas can I work with at the same time. The more the merrier right? Actually not right!

Each Mandala needs our attention until it has manifest. Did you know your attention is a valuable resource: that’s why you pay with your attention! Try it out, anything you pay attention to grows. Therefore our attention doubles up the energy of the drawing.

So if we have too many drawings all with different goals at the same time, it will dilute each one’s power to manifest. So it’s best to go one step at a time.

It would be like trying to listen to several people talking to you at once, all fighting for your attention - it’s overwhelming!

The exception to the rule

If you make Mandalas that are complementary to each other, that is when you achieve one, it will help to achieve the other, and vice versa, then do both. For example, Increased self worth would compliment creating a new career, both helping you to succeed by reminding you, that you are worthy.

Ever tried Mango and Avocado together? Enjoy!
